I once, while sitting in the audience of the Ohio State University stadium, made 35,000+ people laugh out loud… how you ask?
It was during our graduation ceremony and all the graduates and their families nearly filled the stadium.
The president was on the podium in the middle of the football field announcing every school one by one, causing those corresponding graduates to cheer. When the president got to the school of nursing, filled mostly by women, there was a high pitched and enthusiastic cheer.
In an instant I called out to my architecture and engineering class, composed mostly of men, to “cheer for the nurses!”, which resulted in a low pitched enthusiastic cheer from all of my classmates. The result is everyone in the stadium laughed, including the president who was still on the microphone. 🙂
I suppose if I hadn’t recently dated a nurse, the whole spontaneous event probably would not have happened. It was for you Rose. Cheers.
